“This brutal terrorist act against New York and US citizens led to a global change in attitude towards terrorism. Unfortunately, extreme ideologies never sleep, and tragedies similar to this happen today around the world. The realization that forty percent of the victims, who were killed on 9/11 during the attack on the World Trade Center towers, have never been found or identified, evokes terrible, indescribable emotions. I can only imagine how difficult it is for the families of the victims. We in Bosnia and Herzegovina sympathize with the citizens of New York and the United States because, not too long ago, we experienced a similar fate. That is why we all have to persevere in the fight against terrorism, all forms of violence and extreme ideologies. Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to make full contribution to this common struggle. We must do this for the sake of future generations, generations who need to live in peace and freedom. “
