The Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN met with the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy
On March 10, 2015, the Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN, Ambassador Mirsada Colakovic met with the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Mr. Bendetto Della Vedova, on the margins of the 59th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
They discussed further collaboration and mutual initiatives of Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the United Nations. Bendetto Della Vedova took this opportunity to present to Ambassador Colakovic Italy’s candidature as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the term of 2017-2018. He reminded her of Italy’s successful membership in the Council during the term 2007-2008, seeking the support of Bosnia and Herzegovina for this candidature.
Finally, the Under-Secretary Bendetto Della Vedova, emphasized that Italy will remain a permanent friend to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially when it comes to its integration process into the EU along with the other countries from Southeastern Balkans.
