At the Fifty-second sessionof the Commission on Population and Development that was held at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 1st to 5th April 2019, Head of Delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Mr. Milos Prica, Ambassador-at-Large and Co-chair of theWorking Group on Sustainable Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina stressed in his statement that Bosnia and Herzegovina had started the preparation for the implementation of the Agenda 2030 in a much more comprehensive way. Notingnumber of challenges that Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing from the stand point of population and development, not unlike any other country in the region, he conveyedthe conviction of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s authorities that through the comprehensive implementation of the Agenda 2030situation in problematic areas, such as demographic situation, could be improved. He further drew the attention to the needs of the most vulnerable groups, like people with disabilities, those living in remote rural areas, especially women and children, Roma population etc, emphasizing that leaving no one behind is the most important goal. Ambassador Prica finally announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina would present its first Voluntary National Review on the implementation of SDGs at the HLPF to be held in New York in July 2019.
